He is best known for his far-right, conspiracy-driven radio show, "The Alex Jones Show," and the associated website, Infowars.com. ## Early life and Infowars.com Jones was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in the suburb of Rockwall. His father, David Jones, was a dentist, and his mother, Carol, was a homemaker. Jones attended Anderson High School in Austin, Texas, where he became interested in journalism and politics. Jones started his career in the late 1990s, hosting a live call-in public access television show in Austin, Texas. In 1996, he switched to radio and started hosting "The Final Edition" on KJFK. His radio show gained popularity due to his outspoken conspiracy theories and aggressive on-air persona. Jones later launched his own internet-based radio show, "The Alex Jones Show," which eventually led to the creation of his website, Infowars.com, in 1999. Infowars.com became a popular platform for Jones to share his conspiracy theories and political views.
